Harvested on the 23rd August 2014, this honey has a warm, nutty flavour which may come from the local sweet chestnut trees. It reminds us of those sugared roast chestnuts that are sold on street corners in the winter. It has a brick/chestnut colour.
Note that this is chunk honey — pure natural honey containing enticing chunks of real honey comb which the bees used to store the honey. The honey comb is made of bees wax and is edible – fabulous spread on hot toast.
